Lady Ostara
A depiction of Lady Ostara, the goddess of spring, on her sabbath called the spring equinox.
Witchcraft and paganism always get a bad rap due to their association with big green nosed, old and wrinkly movie witches. Even though they are both very peaceful and good intention based beliefs/practises.
In this shoot I wanted to show that even though a sabbath has some more "primal" rituals, for example, killing an animal, it can still do so while being respectful towards nature and animals. That it can even look beautiful. Nature can look brutal sometimes, but that doesn't mean that it's evil/ Ill willed.
